The hunt is on! 🦋🐞🐛🕷We are so proud to be part of the amazing Eco-Arts Festival Shepton Mallet Bugs and Grubs Trail. Don't forget to scan the VR codes displayed alongside the insects to view the fact files made our children to learn more about the bugs. How many can you tick off before August 10th? ✅️

The rain didn’t stop the smiles at the Doulting Village Fete! 🌞 Thank you so much to everyone who came along to support as well as the performers including Owl Class Dancers, The Chapel Dance Studio and the Circus Skills Crew. Also an enormous thank you to the members of The Friends of St Aldhelm's School, the children who ran stalls, St Aldhelm’s Church and the Doulting Social Group.
Our Dance Club are working really hard with the amazing Mandy for their spy performance at next week’s @makesunshinecic 🕵️♂️ 🕵️♀️ .
As part of our collaboration with Eco-Arts Festival Shepton Mallet, Gill Sakakini joined Owls and Falcons classes who have started work on bug fact files. 🐜 We have 60 to complete so are going to work together as a whole school. 🐞 We are really looking forward to finding out about these wonderful insects and also what we can do to make our world a place where these bugs can thrive! 🐛 🦋 🌎 #advocacy #learningtogether #LifeInALLItsFullness #collaboration
As part of our transition to school, our new Reception Robins joined us for a wonderful Teddy Bears' Picnic. We enjoyed playing games and listening to stories together.
Nightingales loved reading Stanley’s Stick by @LaytonNeal and created their own sticks deciding what they could turn into. Amazing imagination Nightingales and we can’t wait to see your ideas develop into stories. 💭 ✍️ 🍃
Falcons took their learning outdoors creating their own base (warp threads) and selected from a range of coloured wool to weave. Some children started weaving in natural resources found around school. #learningtogether #collaboration #flourishing
Robins and Nightingales have been working together practising their Sports Day skills on our amazing field this week.
They are finished and are truly AMAZING! Falcons have demonstrated such perseverance and creativity throughout this mini project. The way they were able to take a simple material and develop this into a 3D mask has been very impressive. The layers and thought about colour and shape demonstrate a true understanding of the various mask types there were. 🎨 🤩
